(Sewing) Machine Love

whoa!! isn’t it nice? Seriously, if there’s ever one for sale… i definitely want this for my birthday!!!

JUKI – Model DDL-8300N

Talking bout sewing machine, hehe i just bought a new one!! :cheer: Heavy duty and solely for straight stitching. Though it was hard to controled at first… ps: but I’m getting used to the rawr-ing sound and the fast paced motor. Its good for sewing thick materials and making bag. Its a bonus for me because I love using thick interfacing and batting sandwiched together. Some of you might know how hard is it when sewing interfacing together, right? :panic:

Hmmm… The downside is, its only for straight stitching~ As you all can see (or may have noticed), I prefer to use zig-zag stitches when sewing labels. It gives a ‘cleaner/tidier’ finished to the label. Plus it prevents the label base from fraying :happy:

So, this is how i currently sew my labels. Disliking it :bawl: Herm… i guess i still need my old sewing machine for this job

notions and stuff

Mula-mula kita sketch design atas kertas. Supaya tak tersilap potong nanti. Part ni penting la bagi saya, sebab saya suka guna designer fabric yang saya beli dari US… jadi saya tak suka membazir kain :blush: Lagi satu, bila kita lukis dulu atas kertas (beserta dengan ukuran) nanti kita tak akan tersilap jahit, betul tak?

Hehe itu ironing board saya. Buruk kan? Dah hangus terbakar, haha! Minggu lepas ibu dah beli iron baru, sebab iron lama jatuh, pecah terus. Tapi iron sekarang semua ringan-ringa. Saya suka iron lama, berat macam batu! Bagus, tak payah susah-susah nak tekan bahagian lipatan jahitan tu.

Kebanyakan barang-barang jahit saya simpan dalam bekas, siap dengan label. Saya ni memang jenis disorganized, jadi bila nak menjahit je huru-hara mencari barang… :panic: tak ke buang masa? haha Tengok The Oprah Show, dia suruh ‘declutter’… jadi saya kemas la studio menjahit saya. Lebih kemas dan menarik bukan? Aaah, label tu boleh download dekat iDiY, banyak benda menarik dekat situ!

Making laptop sleeves

This week, I’m planning to make laptop sleeves. Went to the fabric store yesterday and bought a few meters of heavyweight canvas and not-so-sturdy interfacing. urgh, I need Timtex lah.

I worked fingers to the bone, sewing Ohimesan™s! I’m exhausted and tired but its far from my target. Still have one more clutch to be made. Gosh! I’m lazy… lalala~

I’m on diet pills cause i have issues with my body weight. I know, it’s lame…

Holiday and beach, how heavenly!
wahaha orang tak bekerja macam aku ni, ada holiday jugak ke? huhu Ya ada :p minggu lepas kami sekeluarga pergi bercuti dekat Pantai Cherating selama 2 hari! Sangat asyik berenang-renang, tapi mostly aku tertelan air masin sebab nak belajar berenang. Setakat ni, aku pandai terapung dan berkuak-kuak seperti gaya berenang Sin Chan. Tau tak gaya macam mana tu? lalala~

Tote-able Beach Towel
Disebabkan aku sangat suka pergi pantai, maka aku ada buat tuala yang boleh bertukar menjadi tote bag! Sungguh kewl bukan? Teringin? Lemme knoe ahhh

Career Fair at TTC, Kuala Terengganu
Diadakan pada hari ini dan esok, pergila… Mana tau ada rezeki. Aku apply 4 kerja hari ini!

Kedai bundle, beli kasut!
Besok pagi, bercadang untuk pergi kedai bundle… beli kasut (ladies shoes ok), murah gell like less than RM5 for a pair! lalala cun pulak tuuuu
