Sebenarnya, 3 Jun 2009 yang lepas adalah HARIJADI saya :inlove: tapi harijadi tahun ni kurang menarik. No cakes, no birthday cards from anyone, and not even a single picture!!! Gaduh lagi sama kekasih pada hari tu :bawl: huhu (tapi dah baik semula). Sebab tu rasa berat hati nak tulis entri, tiada gambar untuk dikongsi~ haha :pfft:

Aku dah siap tukar dan customize WordPress Theme Snapshot kepada online shop yang secara asal nya Theme Snapshot ini sesuai untuk blog portfolio. Aku rasa macam theme ini sangat simple dan sesuai untuk BJX.STORE. Lagipun prestasi WordPress lebih laju dari Magento tapi kita tak boleh nak banding dua ni sebab ia bukan benda yang sama.

Aku ambil keputusan beralih dari Magento ke WordPress sebab aku lebih selesa dengan WordPress dan ianya sangat mesra pengguna. Magento kadang-kadang terlalu slow masa loading, dengan database nya yang bapak besar! ps: Perlu komitmen yang lebih untuk maintain. Bukan aku tak suka Magento tapi aku rase Magento lebih sesuai untuk online shop yang berskala besar.

I love googling for online stores in Malaysia. As you all know, I work in Hulu Terengganu, spend my weekends in Terengganu and Kelantan. I’m constantly traveling and really didn’t have time to do surveys for cheap bargains and looking for crafts shop. With just a few clicks, you can buy what you want. Beat the traffic and save your feet from sore blisters.

I stumble upon this online store while googling for FIMO polymer clay. I was tempted by Sing Yee after seeing her kawaii creation, Lolly Lollipop! Thanks to her, for this great findings!!

If I buy all these from the overseas company, it will definitely gonna cost me bones and limbs! Err… But I absolutely fell in love with these fabrics and didn’t found any similar design here in Malaysia. Or perhaps I didn’t do enough digging?

Cost for these lovely fabrics?

I did survey the online market price for designer’s fabrics. Overall, for 100% lightweight cotton the maximum price is USD9.50 per yard (which is less 3inches than a meter). Yes, the fabrics are sold by yard, measured in 1/4 yard increments. Minimum cut for each fabrics is usually a half yard.

International Shipping, err to Malaysia?

Most of the online store that provide international shipping, use the most economical way to ship small international orders using Global Priority Mail Flat-Rate Envelopes. And delivery is within 6-10 business days but will take up longer than that due to being held by the customs. This envelope is USD13.00 each and will be able to hold 5-9 yards (based on fabrics weight, width and type).

Is there any tax charges?

I ordered a yew yards from 2 stores, and the packages arrived safely to my home in 10 days time… with NO TAX charges. *phew*

I’m not sure about this part, but there was no tax charges when ordering from these online stores. (will update this part later, still unsure bout this)

But I did call the PosMalaysia’s Customer Service, they failed to provide me good answers on these matters. *bleh

Can we get these in Malaysia’s store, I’m uncomfortable with online purchases?

I dunno bout this since I’m not in KL or any big cities and will not be able to do enough surveys. That’s why I just love shopping through online stores, it save me a lot of time. Everything is at the point of your fingers, and just hafta wait for the package to arrive. hehe
