About Shambijoux

Hello there!

I’m Azliza Adzhan, though most people around here know me as Shambie. I’m a Gemini with a deep love for crafts, fabrics, and sewing. Handmade things have always fascinated me. I adore indie crafts, vintage clothing, and anything a little bit geeky. Quirky prints make my heart happy. Think skulls, cupcakes, unicorns, and of course, classic polka dots.

My sewing journey began many years ago when I taught myself to sew with a little help from my mum, who also loves sewing. In 2006, I opened my very first online shop on eBay, selling handmade pencil cases and clutches. That tiny shop sparked something much bigger. Since then, I’ve been collecting and importing designer fabrics, with Tula Pink fabrics being some of the most treasured pieces in my collection.

In January 2006, I created Shambijoux.com to combine two worlds that I love: technology and the modern sewing community. What started as a small personal project slowly grew into a creative space where I could share beautiful fabrics and inspire others who love sewing as much as I do.

When I’m not curating fabrics for Shambijoux, I work full-time as a Data Engineer and ETL Developer. I graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with a major in Computer Science. My background in technology helps me run and build this online shop, blending logic with creativity every single day.

One of my dreams is to design my own fabrics or publish my own sewing patterns someday. The idea that something I create could inspire someone else to sew, make, and express themselves creatively truly excites me.

Shambijoux is now based in Presint 9, Putrajaya, where I run the shop as a solo entrepreneur with lots of love for the sewing community. While the studio is no longer open for walk-in visits, Shambijoux continues to operate online, bringing beautiful fabrics directly to your doorstep.
